Is a combination of vaccines possible

The National Immunization Expert Group explained that if a woman becomes pregnant before receiving the second dose of the coronavirus vaccine, the vaccination should be completed if the woman is at high risk of contracting COVID-19. 😷
If, according to the doctor, the benefits of vaccination outweigh the potential risks from it, the Ministry of Health recommends inoculating a woman with a “genetic” mRNA vaccine. So far, only one such vaccine is used in Ukraine – Pfizer.
Is a combination of vaccines possible❓❓❓
If a pregnant woman received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine on a vector platform (in Ukraine, only AstraZeneca (Covishield, SKBio) has been registered with such vaccines before or during pregnancy, then the doctor should tell her about the ratio of risks and benefits of the second vaccination.
👉 The woman will then decide for herself whether to receive a second dose of the same vaccine during pregnancy or after childbirth.
â„šī¸ By the way, the World Health Organization does not object to vaccination of pregnant women with Pfizer, Moderna and AstraZeneca.
However, they note that it is possible to get vaccinated precisely for pregnant women with a high risk of infection with COVID-19 and those who have concomitant diseases, but only after consulting a doctor.
đŸ’Ŧ We have no concrete reason to believe that there will be certain risks that would outweigh the benefits of vaccination for pregnant women, – noted in the WHO.
❗Instruction of the CoronaVac vaccine from Sinovac Biotech, which is also used in Ukraine, prohibits inoculating pregnant women with it.
Pregnant women may be harder to tolerate COVID-19
But the caveat about COVID vaccines is that women have not participated in clinical trials of these drugs.
☝ However, the available anticancer vaccines do not contain a live microorganism and in animal studies, no negative effects on pregnancy have been found. The study of their safety for pregnant women is ongoing.
