SCIENTISTS DISCOVER HOW TO BE IN WITH BETTER CHANCES FOR SURVIVAL![]()
Researchers argue that altruistic people are more likely to survive. Moreover, it is assumed that the propensity for kindness is due to genes.
Scientists from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem analyzed the behavior of 300 people during economic games and compared it with data from genetic testing. They found that altruistic players had changes in the OXTR gene. It controls substances responsible for human social behavior.
But researchers from the University of Oxford argue that only a quarter of behavior is genetically determined. They celebrate the role of education. And scientists from the University of California claim that kindness was beneficial to our ancestors more than selfishness. Kinder individuals gained an advantage, so the inclination towards kindness took hold naturally.
